Zazen is a bilingual introduction to seated meditation, using a text by French Buddhist monk Eric Lagarrigue, also known as "Gasshô," narrated and translated into English by Kari, with backing tracks composed by her.  Each meditation lasts about 20 minutes.

Pas de deux

December 2004 (TIGER SOUND)

Pas de Deux is the dance between authors and composer; the synergy that emerges when words are joined by music. The title refers as well to the footsteps of these two poetesses, and these are also Kari's first steps toward the creation of her next French album, Nos Mots, which will be primarily a collaborative effort with authors in France.

These songs are taken from an album which will be called Our Words. It's a work in progress.

All of these songs were recorded in July 2004 in Paris at Agrumes Production.

Sound engineer: Christophe Soudant. Mixing and Mastering: Tony Ricci, Atonal Productions, USA.

September 2002 (TIGER SOUND)

Colors: On the one year anniversary of 911, Kari participated in a national songwriting project conceived by producer Chris Moon, who discovered Prince. Moon wrote a set of lyrics and identified one songwriter from each of the 50 states, asking each to write an original song. He then produced a 3-volume compilation album with all 50 unique versions, entitled "Colors." This was Kari's Rhode Island contribution, which she also released as a single.

December 2001 (TIGER SOUND)

In the spirit of Touch of Magic, it was several years in the making and features performances by many gifted musicians, including the beautiful "Seasonal Suite for Cello and Viola," and the spirited "Coronado."
